What’s that you say? I hope you don’t think we were done with POPs for this film, it is of course the Rogue One Wave 2 Funko POPs!
Yes it’s been a while since it’s release, and Episode VIII is coming out later this year but we have more Rogue One POPs for your perusal. It is possible there could be Rogue One POPs at NYCC or SDCC, because Funko is also planning on releasing Bodhi Rook. They showed off concept art for him quite some time ago, he seems to be a fan favorite as people seemed keen to get their hands on him! So will he be an exclusive at San Diego? Well they are revealing the first wave of SDCC POPs on June the 5th so keep your eyes peeled for that.
I’m glad they did a POP of Galen Erso, he’s a pretty good character though i could of done without Young Jyn Erso. Though i will still buy her because .. Star Wars, which happens to be the series i have the most complete collection of. They say for every 10,000 Obi Wan fans there is 1 Weeteef Cyubee fan, well i’m sure someone did somewhere because now we have a POP of him too. There are always fans for every niche character in something as big as Star Wars so i’m sure these extra characters will be appreciated by someone. What are your thoughts on this wave? Glam shots and info coming up!
Star Wars: Rogue One – Young Jyn Erso #185
Star Wars: Rogue One – Galen Erso #186
Star Wars: Rogue One – Weeteef Cyubee #187
Star Wars: Rogue One – Death Star Droid #189
We’re finally here, Specialty Series Wave 12! That marks the 1 year anniversary for the Specialty Series.
I was hoping they would do something extra special for the anniversary, but they didn’t mention it sadly! This is the 12 wave of the monthly Specialty Series, where each month they release 1 Dorbz and 1 POP primarily for local stores and small businesses. I’ve mentioned this before, but it’s pretty common that Amazon themselves start selling these figures so i wouldn’t quite say their planned worked all that well. But i can’t say i mind too much, as long as i can find these figures to buy then i’m happy.
If you’ve not already pre-ordered yours then don’t worry, they usually announce these many months before release and people jump on the pre-orders. But once they hit general release they’re usually everywhere, so it shouldn’t be hard to find. The POP this time is from Looney Tunes, Funko have been ramping up their Looney Tunes POPs as it was only recently they started with the release of the Michigan J Frog and Bugs Bunny Dorbz. I’m looking forward to more in the future! The Dorbz on the other hand is the Dorbz version of the GameStop exclusive POP, there is two versions of Shinoa one with weapon and one without and i’m sure you can see which this is. Glam shots and info coming up!
Looney Tunes – Gossamer #263 (Specialty Series Exclusive)
Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign – Shinoa with Weapon #335 (Specialty Series Exclusive)
Grab a few friends from the latest in the line of longest named films ever with the War for the Planet of the Apes Funko POPs!
Unlike the recently announced Planet of the Apes Dorbz, these figures are actually from the latest film which is hitting cinemas on the 14th of July. I’m certainly excited to see it, the other two films were more surprises for me as i was never planning on seeing them originally. But when me and my wife went to watch them both we enjoyed them a lot more than i thought we would, so the third film in the installment is definitely on the list. Anyone here a fan, or not fan of the re-imagination of the classic tale? I wonder.
The POPs we have in this line are fairly limited, we only get Caesar and Maurice which is surprising. Even hardly watched TV shows get 3 or so, but it is just one in the 100’s of movies being released so i guess it’s understandable. And there’s also that i can’t really think of any other characters i’d even want to see from the film, when half the cast are various kinds of monkeys that doesn’t leave much to go on. But i can say a POP Ride of Caesar on a horse would be pretty.. awesome, what do you think? Glam shots and info coming up!

Come and have a masterclass in work avoidance skills with the experts, the Workaholics Funko POPs!
Gather around the water-cooler and get excited, the Workaholics POPs are just on the horizon. They should be hitting stores near you in early June, i know from when we posted the concept art for these guys there were a few of you excited about the prospect of more Sitcom POPs. What other Sitcoms would you like to see come to life? I personally haven’t seen much of Workaholics, just the first few episodes when it originally came out hm .. that was quite a long time ago now it seems! All i kept thinking when i saw these POPs was the name Blake, and it just kept reminding me of the awesome substitute teacher Key & Peele sketch, my favorite of theirs. According to them Blake is pronounced Ba-La-Ke, feel free to watch it here (Click me!). Glam shots and info coming up!
Workaholics – Adam #492
Workaholics – Anders #493
Workaholics – Blake #494
We’ve got one, two, four? For you, you certainly won’t be at a loss for Sydney with these upcoming Alias Funko POPs!
Since we saw the concept art (Click me) for these back in February i’ve been wondering what these will look like, even if these are the glam shots i’m liking what they’ve done so far. They match her outfits and style from the show pretty well, so even though they are slightly generic they get away with it i think. What are your thoughts on this? I’m still going to have to go with the Redhead version for my favorite, though the Goth version isn’t too far behind .. the blue hair is cute! I’ve never seen this show in its entirety still, my exposure to it is mainly catching brief moments when my wife is watching it. She’s watched through the entire show at least 3 times from what i know (at least!), so if i get these POPs .. they will probably become hers no doubt. I am a fan of Jennifer Garner for sure, she reminds me quite a bit of Piper Perabo from Covert Affair. Glam shots and info coming up!
Alias – Blond Sydney #529
Alias – Goth Sydney #530
Alias – School Girl Sydney #531
Alias – Redhead Sydney #532
Will this be Captain Jack’s last outing? Reminisce about the latest trip on the little boat with the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean Funko POPs!
Let your hair down like Captain Salazar did after his curse and take a load off, definitely one of the cooler POPs we’ve seen. But what’s this, some kind of controversy? Yes some have been commenting their disbelief over the choice of Chase for this line, quoting that the “Cursed” state is his regular appearance. I guess i can kind of see where they are coming from, a Chase is normally an alternative design whereas the Chase here is what he looks like for the majority of the film. What are your thoughts?
One thing you should take note of is that no the real Golden Jack Sparrow POP isn’t THAT shiny, glam shots always make them look better than they really do. You can click here to see my article about that POP, as of writing this he is still on sale! I’m glad that they’re bringing Will Turner back, he was a very likable character in the original films. I also would like some up to date POPs of Penelope Cruz and Keira Knightly’s characters for sure, though they have nothing to do with this film but here’s hoping. Glam shots and info coming up!
